We had the honor of working with Jamie twice now at Vavoom and each time she always leaves us in awe of what an amazing woman she is and we of course aspire to be like her! She made us realize that it's ok to make time for yourself to help you be the best version of yourself, remember that kittens. ;) Check out Jamie's Vavoom experience below: 
 
I had been to Vavoom once before, so it was absolutely what I remembered and expected. However, just like the first time I went to Vavoom, it was more than I expected. The women there are lovely and personable. Heather is kind and caring, and seems to go out of her way to make her clients comfortable and ensure they get the experience and shots they were looking/hoping for.
 
After a pretty rocky holiday season, it was so good to get treated with this shoot. A family friend and I went out that same night. I felt good and I looked good. I told my family friend that 'the photos felt like me.' That sentiment was enforced once I saw the photos. They just felt like me. They helped pamper me, and give me a little boost of my confidence back.
 
I would say that the experience and images help reinforce the image of myself that I have. Strong, sexy, confidence, classy, happy, sassy, flirty, loving, and so much more. As I once heard it put, 'you helped me show on the outside (to other people), how I see myself.' I couldn't really have put it better myself.
 
Being a mother, you pretty much constantly discover new things about yourself, whether it be your patience level, or lack there of; or your tolerance lever, or lack there of. Yet, I would say that one thing in particular that I've discovered about myself recently, and not so recently, that I pretty much continue to re-discover about myself, is that it's ok to value yourself and be a little selfish. As my mom has told me repeatedly, 'you are more than just a mother.' This statement changed my entire mentality regarding motherhood, and thus my general every day life. It helped and continues to help me know that it is okay to treat yourself, and to pamper yourself, and that there is great value in doing so. For you and your child. Of course, all things in moderation.

We had the pleasure of working with Joy last year for a solo shoot and she also came back later for some holiday photos with her hubby and pups. Joy was able let her inner kitten shine for her solo shoot at Vavoom and isn't that what it's all about? Just to be able to let go and let the world hear you roar, yeah! xoxo 
 
My experience at Vavoom Pinups was amazing! As soon as I got to the studio the hair and makeup artists started working on me and I immediately felt like an actress getting ready for the big screen. It felt amazing being pampered and having people make you feel beautiful. Then when I got to go down to the studio I was just in awe of all the gorgeous clothes, shoes, and accessories that I could choose from for my photo shoot. After picking out what to wear; it was time for my shoot. I cannot say enough nice things about the owner/photographer Heather. Not only is she professional and talented; but, she is one of the nicest people I have met. I have to admit that being sexy does not come easy for me. I think of myself more as cute and sweet. Heather helped me to show that sexy side of me that I wanted my husband to see in the photos. She also had awesome ideas for possible poses and props that could be used for the photo shoot. Vavoom pinups brought out the sexy side of me that I didn't even know I had. Seeing a side of you come out that you normally don't show is not only fun but liberating as well! I was so impressed with Vavoom pinups after my first time there that I have scheduled another shoot to be done with my husband and dogs.
 
My husband and dogs make me the happiest girl in the world! The first time I met my husband I knew right away that he was the one. He makes me feel so comfortable and boy can he make me laugh! He is the love of my life, my best friend, and my soul mate. I am so happy I get to share my life with him. He loves everything about me.....the good, the bad, and the ugly. He inspires me to be me and make no apologies for it! My husband also encourages me to go after my dreams and that means everything to me. In a world where negativity is constantly thrown in your face by the news and media he is my shining light that helps me to believe there is still positivity in this world. I came to Vavoom Pinups to get my photos taken for my husband. I wanted him to see that beautiful smile that he has brought to my face captured forever in beautiful professional pictures.

Check out Maggie ya'll! She came in as part of a bachelorette party celebration at Vavoom and she totally had a blast and we loved every bit of her and her party! xoxo 
 
My day-to-day style is simple, tailored, and casual. I rarely wear make up and can't do much more with my hair than put it in a ponytail! Never in one million years did I ever think you'd catch me in dolled up for a photo shoot like this, but I had such an incredible time. The experience was right up the bride's alley and such a unique choice for her Bachelorette Party! I would visit Vavoom again in a heartbeat!
 
I was really nervous to see the photos, but felt such confidence after taking a first glance! Showing them off to my closest friends, my family, and my coworkers was a real treat. Nobody believed it was me in those pictures! I can't wait to hang up the few I purchased in my bathroom. Talk about an instant mood booster and source of confidence!
 
Going to Vavoom pushed me out of my comfort zone like nothing else I have ever done before. Let's be honest, it's hard to always look at yourself in the mirror and think positively. Some days confidence comes more easy. Thinking back on the day we spent celebrating one of the fiercest, strongest, most independent women in my tribe (Lauren Hise... wait... now Lauren Condon!) is always going to be a happy memory. She deserved to feel every bit as glamorous as she looked that day, and I'm thankful and lucky to have been able to share in the fun with her and the rest of her bridesmaids!

My experience at Vavoom was actually not what I expected. It was so much more! From the hair and makeup to the actual shoot, I had so much fun and felt very relaxed. I was nervous about the whole experience as I rarely have photos taken of just me. Heather was wonderful and helped me have fun and she walked me through every pose so I never felt awkward.
 
I turned 40 a few weeks after my shoot. I wasn't really looking forward to it at all but doing the shoot and then getting the amazing pictures made me feel so much better about it. Age is just a number and every age should be celebrated.
 
I think doing the shoot at Vavoom definitely gave me some of my confidence back. I was in a slump over getting older but the whole experience made me look at aging differently. Women are beautiful at every age and I plan to do a shoot every 5 years ( or less) until I die. I'm sure it will be fun looking back at them when I'm 80 and remembering I wasn't just a soccer mom or whatever. I was and still am a woman.

Last year we had an amazing group of women who came through Vavoom and we could not have asked for such an amazing group who showed US how to have fun! This is one of the ladies from that group and her VP experience. ;)
 
On July 9th a small group of police officer wives and one police officer decided we should have a girls weekend and Vavoom was calling our names. Even though we all have one thing in common, law enforcement, we hadn't spent much time together outside of work events. This experience earned me 4 new friends. The experience was fantastic from beginning to end. I can hardly believe we were at Vavoom from 2:30pm to almost 8pm!! Thank you Heather for taking absolutely fantastic photos and being so welcoming; and your daughters pictures are so darling. To all the rest of the staff, thank you too. I give a personal thank you to Kristina for giving me the most fabulous hair and make-up and chatting with me though the entire process about life and all its adventures. It was completely comfortable. Also, I would like to thank Lea. She made dinner and drink reservations for us!!! It was our favorite part of the night and we are so grateful for this. Perhaps this will be an annual event for the law enforcement ladies of Iowa.
