Happy Tuesday kittens! We were so ecstatic with Michelle, a first timer at Vavoom and we could not have been happier with her experience and reaction to the whole experience. We love you Michelle! xoxo

The experience to me was something that I will treasure and never forget. The pictures I took was for my 1 year anniversary for my boyfriend Manny. I never imagined I would look so beautiful and when he saw the pictures he was so excited and said I looked amazing.

Vavoom has changed how I view myself because the photo shoot made me feel comfortable inside and out. After my hair and makeup were done and I was able to look in the mirror, I yelled with excitement because I looked beyond beautiful and they truly made me look like a 1950's vintage pin up girl.

Cristina came in to celebrate her birthday and did she ever, she let her inner kitten come out and had a blast! Read about her wonderful Vavoom experience below! xoxo

"I wasn't sure what to expect. I did this for myself. I was turning 30 and needed something big to bring in the next decade of my life. The experience was amazing Lea and Mollie did my hair and make up and were so cool just chatting with me as they transformed me into this bombshell. I then met sweet bubbly Heather who referred to me as 'Kitten' which made me feel extra girly. Her direction was great. She put me at ease and was so much fun to work with.

I was feeling so great about my decision to do this. When I saw the photos uploaded I was floored. I never thought I could look like that. When you're approaching a milestone birthday sometimes you feel self conscious about where you are in life, how you look and getting old but seeing myself in those shots made so much of that fade away. I was so excited to get them back and show friends and family Look, this is me!

It was definitely a life changing experience. I feel brighter, sexier and more confident. I never knew I could look like this. I love vintage pin up culture. I love how women of all shapes, sizes and ages can benefit from this art form, it's a celebration of femininity and its overall positive vibe. I loved Marilyn, Dita, Rita and Jane and no matter how old I get I now know I can be one of them!"

One of our very special VP vets tells us about diving right into booking a Vavoom shoot and how she let go of all of the expectations she had on herself for the shoot and decided to go with the flow. This is Lola's Calendar experience! xoxo

I am not a get all dolled up and go out on the town kind of girl, and to have people fawning over my hair and makeup was an experience to say the least. I kept thinking this would be a perfect bachelorette party outing. The Calendar shoot was an investment to say the least. 13 shoes, 13 outfits, 13 sets of props. I was exhausted by the end of it all, but in this amazing giddy I accomplished something kind of way.

Because this was a surprise for my hubby I couldn't tell him how my legs had this glorious burn from wearing 3 inch heels for hours, I found myself checking my email more often eagerly waiting for the proofs at every step along the way, and I couldn't help telling all my girlfriends about how amazing this process was, and that they should all consider doing it!

I have wanted to do a shoot for years now, a good friend did one for her hubby as a wedding gift, they were amazing, and last summer I got serious and started looking at packages. I knew I wanted to be my best for the shoot. I wanted to be tan so it needed to be near the end of the summer so I could correct any odd tan lines, I wanted to be fit and in shape, so I needed time to hit the gym more, eat more consciously, and in my mind loose at least 10lbs, maybe more. So in January when I saw an email for an amazing calendar deal come across my desk that could only be used by March 1st I needed to do some internal reflection. A calendar shoot felt like a once in a lifetime investment, something I would only do once ever, and I wanted to be smokin' for it. Could I still feel proud of my photos if I wasn't tan and fit and at my best? What the hell, I blindly jumped, entered my credit card info and hit purchase. What I didn't know at the time was none of my goals of fitness and being tan mattered. The whole day I never once felt unattractive, and even looking at the raw unedited shots I felt Vavoom pulled out the bad-ass vixen in me pale skin and all. If you wait to do things, to live your life until something happens (you have a better job, you loose 10lbs, you finish school...) you may never do it. This shoot reinforced living in the now, and taking pride in me and my body!

Sydney definitely let her fierce side come out during her shoot and we wanted to celebrate her by featuring her photos and VP experience here! ;)

"My time at Vavoom was everything I expected- and so much more! I was a little nervous coming in, because I had no 'modeling experience' whatsoever. Once I got there I felt welcomed immediately, and as soon as I sat down to get my hair and makeup done I felt ready for anything! Everyone was so nice, and the photographer was so patient while I tried to find my angles and poses. By the end of the night, I was practically glowing with excitement- and some really good makeup!

I was proudly walking around Chicago for everyone to see. When I got home a couple days later, I could hardly keep from telling everyone I knew about it. As soon as I had the pictures, I shared them with all of my friends and family. I received so many compliments on my photos, and I've been feeling amazing ever since.

I think coming to Vavoom has really lifted my spirits, and it's made me feel so beautiful as a woman. I am definitely a bit of a tom-boy, so this was a fun experience for me to have. While I've worn dresses and heels on the occasional night out, I've never done anything like this. I feel so much more confident in getting myself done up to go out with my friends now, and I feel much more confident in a cute dress!"
